years ago, I attended a dinner party at Eddie Albert’s home, and Miriam Hopkins was one of the guests. The owner of one of the leading public relations firms said to me, “Let’s go sit at her table. I’ve heard terrible things about her on the set. Let’s check it out.” We did. She was perfectly charming. Granted, this was a relaxed atmosphere for her, not a work situation, but she did have gracious manners.
